BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Role Description
The will be responsible for the following:
Writing proposals, screening for suitable business opportunities, and developing tenders
Editing and formatting of documents
Website design and creation of graphics for presentations and documents
Administration and invoicing
People and intern management
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Johannesburg, with flexibility for some remote work. Part-time options can be discussed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, journalism or language or related field
Minimum of 3 years' work experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in operations management to ensure smooth functioning of daily operations
Willingness to provide administrative assistance to senior level professionals
Experience within the consulting industry is a bonus, but not required
Flexibility
JUNIOR ECONOMISTS
Requirements:
Minimum of a master's degree in economics
Working knowledge of Stata and / or R
Successful applicants would typically need to have over 70% for most courses at Honours level and similar at Master's level
Honours and / or master's level courses in industrial organisation are desirable
INTERNSHIPS
Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelors degree (3 year degree) in economics
Working knowledge of Stata and / or R
Successful applicants would typically need to have over 70% for most courses
Honours and / or master's level courses in industrial organisation are desirable
Documents required:
CV, academic transcripts and references (at least one must be academic)
Writing sample of no more than 2000 words (can be university essay or thesis extract) that demonstrates writing skills.
Attach a brief paragraph (of no more than half a page) outlining your interest in Acacia, specifically any particular interest in the economics of industrial organisation, competition economics, regulatory economics or consulting and how it fits with either your past experience or future goals.
Please indicate what your status in South Africa is (such as whether you are a South African citizen or permanent resident or whether you have a work permit)
Should your application be successful, we will arrange a follow-up interview and for a case study to be sent to you in preparation for your interview. A series of interviews and tests may follow.
