Trade

Acacia has provided advice to clients on trade matters before ITAC (International Trade Administration Commission). This involves drafting economic reports for submission and engaging with ITAC and SARS officials.

Damages

Acacia is increasingly involved in estimating damages for private and public-sector clients involved in litigation. Given its experience in regulatory and competition processes, it is well placed to provide estimates that are robust and defensible in a court of law.

Economic policy

Acacia has also engaged in research on economic policy for various domestic and international entities. These include research on policy development (related to improved competition, interoperability, and inclusion) and impact assessments of proposed policies.

Other

Acacia has also participated in the design and analysis of surveys across different sectors in the past. Its economists have all received training in econometrics using STATA and/or R.

It has also provided support in other commercial disputes such as contractual and tender award disputes.
